GET IN THE GAME!

We are born to be competitive – at the kid’s soccer game, at the swim meet or at the basketball tournament, at the skating arena or at the Young Musician’s Festival! We all are there cheering, applauding, and filling up with those tears of complete bliss when our child is the charging force!
Yup…we have all been there and done that! But you know, our dogs are competitive too – they need to be in the game – whatever you want that game to be! They need to see our emotion – the excitement of whatever they are doing that makes their master PROUD. Allow them the freedom to help create some of the rules and teach them to win-win-win!
Throw around a Dokken Trainer and see if the pup returns it – you don’t need to wait until summer!
Set up an outside agility kit with hoops and tunnels – it’s fun even in the snow :*)
Make sure the pup sits on command when other activities are going on – and to immediately come when called.
When they start to howl with excitement – give a name to it – then lots of praise and reward – you will have at that very moment -taught your pup to speak on command!
Try something different with your puppy, you will be so happy you did!
Okay, so what, it was NOT the stick that I threw for Kissakee to fetch but she came back with something – much bigger than expected. :*)
Enjoy the pups – they are getting older, stronger and wiser!
