The pups are now 10 weeks old and it is truly hard for me to tell them apart. Akona and Enoch are kind-a book-ends to each other – barring that small detail that was missed at the whelping. Both of the pups are doing just fine. They were in for their 9-week vaccinations and the puppies were the excitement again at the vet’s office.
What I wanted to remind all our HGT families that is a good idea to start thinking about micro-chipping your HGT puppy. Akona and Enoch had their microchips and it was done with the vaccinations – no complaints! The microchip carries a non-transferable number that is only traceable to you. The code is associated with your name, address and your veterinarian’s information. So should your puppy wander away, the puppy’s microchip can be scanned and the information that is gathered from that number, will lead the puppy right back to you. If you have already had your pup’s 9-week vaccinations done, you can have your vet do the micro-chipping during the pups 12-week vaccinations. It is definitely a great thing!
