How Do You Say…Hello?! HGT’s Golden Grands hit all High-Fives w/ their ‘Say-Hi’!
Written by Pam on July 5, 2016
Every connection starts with Hello! No matter what country, no matter if it is a human to human hello or best yet, if it is human to canine say hi…
- In Belgium, they give 3 kisses, starting from one cheek to the other to the other.
- In parts of France, they give 4 kisses, starting from one cheek to the other to the other to the other.
- In Japan, bow slightly from the waist.
- In the Middle East, they us the word ‘Salaam” saying ‘Peace Be Upon You” while sweeping their hands to their heart.
- In Zimbabwe, they clap their hands.
- Tibetans stick their tongues out
- The Maori rub noses
- Latin Americans hug a lot
- Malays reach out – sandwich each others fingertips and bring their hands back to their chests.
- In Thailand it is a slight bow with palms pressed together – the higher the hands, the greater the show of respect.
- In America, there are many hand-gestures – some of which (I guess) can be interpreted as … Hello…
- AND the best yet, is how our HGT companions extend their hello! View the following pictures – all our dogs ‘say-hi’ or offer a ‘high-five’ some even give us a hello with a hug! We start each of our litters early – we have some pups that simply ‘get it’ and for others it takes more repetition. Our golden grands have nailed it in the ‘say hi’ department continuously from 4thQtr 2015-2ndQtr 2016. Cheers, Pam
