OFA’s from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals!
What you see here are some very nice OFA’s done on HGT’s Epokku.
Once our girls turn two years old they are put through a long list of genetic testing – our Epokku just turned two in October so it was her turn to have these xrays done to determine how her hips and elbows look. See below for yourself. These are the results a breeder loves to hear – Eps’ OFAs Hips are Good and OFA’s Elbows are Normal!
More great information on our smaller lab, Epokku: AKC Registered – Yearly OFA’s Eyes, Normal; Genetic Testing: EIC; DNA prcd/PRA, Normal/Clear, CNM, Centronuclear Myopathy Clear (2 copies of the normal allele), Coat Color DNA Results/DDC Veterinary: bbEeDD or Brown Phenotype, Carries Yellow, does not carry Dilution.
Epokku is my breeding of HGT’s Koko Kawaii Hito and my good friends, Mr. Bojangles from Handyhill. A beautiful – healthy pairing that resulted in our beautiful Epokku. To see more of Epokku’s genetic clearances, go to her corner of our website under Labrador/Adults/Epokku.
Epokku will be in season this Spring (April/May) and will be bred. I am still researching for a suitable sire – a very exciting time for us here at HGT. Enjoy the pics of Epokku’s curves, very nice structure and must have OFAs!
