EXUBERANCE + Pick-A-Puppy
Written by Pam on May 15, 2015
Each morning I have to admit is tiresome to entertain 9 golden retriever puppies, but it is truly a different kind of busy – it is actually a feeling of exuberance I get each and every day. The pups are starting to show me their willingness to please. Their first accomplishments: learning what the newspaper is for, learning that the newspapers are only in the whelping box for their use, showing me that they know the ramp takes them there and showing me that they want the human attention. Some will actually look diligently around their play area for me while I am hiding somewhere outside the play area – they all tilt their heads upward to smell the air and find out my location. To me, this is astounding at 6 weeks old.
I know many of the families are anxiously waiting for this weekend, so I wanted to share with all of you what we have been teaching the puppies. Below is a short video of each puppy (still) learning some of the commands for: sit, say hi and down. My job as a good breeder is to better the breed, and I have to say, we hit our mark with this golden grand litter – We are looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow and Sunday at Pick-A-Puppy. Enjoy the videos, Pam
