6/11/16:

Well, we needed some relaxing time here at HGT, so we took our act to the GKC, Greenwich Kennel Club, Obedience & Rally Trial Dog Show in Norwalk, CT. OMGosh what fun!  We decided earlier on not to exhibit any of our dogs, as we have puppies on the ground, and we do not want anyone bringing home things that may not be so good for our puppies, so we just went without our dogs in tow.  All the shows were exciting, but I have to say that the Rookie Agility Ring had me going back for more – our dogs love to impress, and you could see in their soulful eyes that even the youngest dog there wanted to place and tried its hardest to attentively listen to the handler and get around the contraptions very new to it!  Impressive!  And talk about impressive – just love this young one, Ms. Major Valentine.  Perfect in all things labrador – she will be competing soon, turning many heads and making Gayle (and me) extremely proud!

We spent time with breeders, handlers and judges that we know and admire.  Please see the pictures of our breeder friend, Gayle Abrams of CandyAcres with her most precious, Candyacres Major Valentine and yours truly!  Also see my daughter who took HGT’s Ty to another level when she exhibited at the Junior Showmanship level.  Bec was a hit with all Gayle’s dogs – it must be that animal magnetism! We also met up with labrador breeders who own sires that have already made their mark and succeeded in the show ring.  These sires will imprint very nicely into our line – Remember we have Ty and Kiss who have already passed their clearances, and soon we will have Epokku – once she turns two in October …a whole new exciting path will open for her.  We are very excited to meet these breeders who own some amazing creatures and who will be sharing with us…it was a day well spent!

We have many things (labrador!) in store for 2016 – 2017.  We are seriously thinking about a chocolate sire by the name of Castle and of course we still want Ferguson once he returns from his long hiatus standing at stud in the Netherlands! But most importantly, Gayle and I are thinking about a partnership – a new development – that is planned around September!  Watch our blogs for updates!!! Enjoy this meaningful quote and our pictures of one fascinating day.
