Merriment is what happens here at HGT morning-noon & at night. We normally wake to a cute coo, then a louder coo, then an outright woof when everyone knows I am awake and moving around –
I wanted this blog to be about having fun – forget about the day’s woes and just spend some really fun time with your HGT pup or dog. The dogs need this interaction with their owners. They love you, trust you but most important they need to know they are loved by you. The only way I show my dogs love, is to do what they want to do, only after they do what I want them to do.
We are all outside by 6 a.m. Smelling the air, finding that special place, running around, enjoying each others company and then back into the house. This is when I want quiet and everyone – except one – who will remain anonymous – sits and waits for their kibble. After making many bowls, everyone is asked to go to their spot – and like vinegar to oil they separate to their assigned spots to eat their kibble. Some go back to their kennels/dens, some go to our mudroom, some go to different areas of the kitchen, but all of them know what I want.
After the kibble, we go back outside for a quick break then back inside when the most excitement starts. The excitement of the Kong. Our dogs love the kongs and you know, I love them too. This gives me time to get ready for my day or just sit and drink my coffee while each dog is determined to get every morsel of kibble out of that kong – some roll the kong, some toss the kong around but everyone always finishes whatever I stuff inside the kong :@)
