What to feed your Kokobo: (see pics below of the ingredients / the packaging has changed but look for the large green bag)
Yesterday 10/22/14, the pups just turned 3-weeks and I started them on a Mama Blair’s gruel and …There were no complaints – they enjoyed it thoroughly – Labs – even lab puppies love – LOVE to eat!
The Dog food that I feed my puppies and dogs and the one that I would like for you to consider is:
Life’s Abundance – Premium Health Food
When looking for puppy food – please make sure the food is made in the US and that the protein content should be no more than 28% and the crude fat should be no more than 18%. It is imperative to read all the ingredients and question or research those that might not be familiar or nutritional.
The Life’s Abundance formula can only be purchased on-line and as such is delivered directly to my door. It is one of the best dog foods that I have used on my puppies and dogs. The formula is made from gluten-free select ingredients to help our dogs achieve and maintain optimal health. The formula is for dog and puppy so there is no need to change the food once the pup is one year old.
I have decided to raise our pups on a natural food product. I feel that it is safe and it’s never been recalled. This company uses only natural products and cares about how the food is processed. The treats are made in a human bakery!! The food is never older then 4 to 6 months old with no fillers or harmful cancer causing agents. It’s delivered to your door to maintain its freshness. Order the green bag the all stage food from http://www.lifesabundance/homegrowntrilogy. If you have any questions or need help you can call the company at 877-387-4564 please mention my name as your rep. or include my group number, 20175872 when you place the order. Call us any time to talk about the well-being of your dog and to discuss the product line of Life’s products.
If you are like me, I want to hear the facts – so here they are:
Life’s Abundance natural dog food recipes contain only the finest ingredients, like …

• An antioxidant system including vitamins C & E
• Prebiotic fiber & guaranteed probiotics

To be the best dry dog food, this premium kibble contains …

Fresher food is more nutrient-rich. While leading brands stockpile tons of food for months on end, our healthy dog food is made weekly in small-batches so it’s only 4-to-6 weeks when it’s delivered. When you buy this Life’s Abundance dog food, your puppy will benefit from Life’s strict inventory controls and product safety considerations that are second-to-none. Put your Kokobo on the path to wellness, provide them with a recipe for a long and happy life!

Please make sure that at 8-weeks, you feed your puppy on a schedule (I will provide one that I use in the Brag Books and I will discuss with you at the Pick-A-Puppy weekend) but also it is important to supplement with a variety of vegetables like string beans, sliced baby carrots and/or cored apple slices. Try not to feed your puppy jerky treats and definitely do not allow them to chew on raw hide. When training your puppy, use Trader Joes, Gluten-Free Sticks – use very small morsels when training the puppy. You will be surprised at what a morsel will bring – they are very smart even at 6-weeks and understand after a couple of sessions what command you are trying to get them to perform.

Interesting Reading Materials:
If you are new to owning a puppy or if you just need a little refresher, you may want to read a couple of the books that I recommend and treasure:
• Pukka’s Promise & Merle’s Door by Ted Kerasote
• The Monks of New Skete – The Art of Raising a Puppy
• When Good Dogs Do Bad Things -Mordecai Siegal & Matthew Margolis
• Dog Training By Bash – Bashkim Dibra
Other Items that you may need:
Start saving your newspapers – When the pups leave us they will certainly know the feel of the crinkly newspapers under their paws. This is the best way to house train a puppy when the pup is young and/or when the weather is too cold to bring them outside. You start by leaving a lot of newspapers around in the small area that the puppy is allowed to roam freely. Then when you notice the puppy has urinated on a piece, place that piece on clean(er) sheets that are closer to a doorway that leads to the outside. Eventually you will be eliminating most of the newspaper and only have one or two sheets on the floor, but for the time being it is good to let the pup try and figure it out – soon they will know what is acceptable and what is not.
Purchase a Kennel – not the small ones for the puppy – this will be a waste of money – get the larger 80 lb kennel. Most of the kennels come with a divider to make the kennel smaller, but if it did not for some reason the use of a large cardboard box will do. Do not leave newspaper in the puppy’s kennel. You do not want the pup to think that it is okay to do any of his business inside his kennel.
Pick A Puppy Weekend
I am so happy that everyone is comfortable with their scheduled time to pick out and enjoy some time with your puppy! I look forward to meeting all of you!
