Koko’s & Bo’s Precious Progeny – KokoBo Puppies First Vet Visit 10/6/14 – 5 Days Old!
Written by Pam on October 6, 2014
Why is it important to take a five day old pup to the vets?
As a breeder, a mother, a writer, and a friend too many – I have succeeded in many things life has thrown my way, – but I am not a doctor, so I need to lean on my friends who are wonderful knowledgeable veterinarians for their reassurance that each puppy is of good health.
Each puppy gets the following from their very 1st exam:
1) An overall examination from head to tail
2) A careful listen to each beating heart
3) A careful listen to those clear lungs
4) An examination of the umbilical cord
5) An examination of the removal site of the dewclaws
Each puppy has its own brag sheet which lists all of the procedures that the puppy had while with us. You will also find in this unique folder, many pictures taken on a weekly basis that show how rapidly the puppies grow. All of this information goes home with each puppy as it explains each and every journey your puppy has had with us during its 8 weeks of growth.
The results of each pup’s examination were all amazing – all the pups weigh over 1 lb – and – everyone is gr8…GREAT!
