Who Likes Chocolate! At HGT, we love Chocolates – especially the Labrador kind! (see labradors/litters for videos + updates)

The PUPPIES joined us and each one came into the world wet in my hands, feisty in their movements, strong-willed at each teat and oh, oh, so beautiful! DOB: Thursday 6/22/17.
Each pup, I believe will carry on the traits of ‘sweet & obedient’ from their mom, HGT’s Ty-Ty and I also believe that Roger Wilco of Sky Farms has imprinted this litter very nicely with that ‘show’ beautiful – in stocky body structure and those English blocky heads! The ‘smarts’ will become apparent in the weeks ahead!
My personal rule of thumb with newly whelped pups is my series of ‘3’… The 3 hour mark has passed and all the pups achieved it without any problems, the 3 day mark, which we are almost there and the pups 3-week mark where everything starts to change for the puppies and for us as the pups eyes and ears open :@)
I will be calling everyone that I spoke to already for this litter. I need for each family to think about ‘GENDER’. Is having a female vs a male or vice versa – very important… The reason for me asking is that Ty and Roger gifted us with a beautiful chocolate litter although the members of the litter are predominately females…
The pups can smell and enjoy the feeling of the touch – all the pups now know our scents and actually have demonstrated to me that the gentle touch along with a familiar scent calms them right down.. nothing short of amazing …
Once the pups start to see and hear, then I can take a short well deserved break – not until. After the 3rd week and when the pups know I exist and can see me, the Pam command training starts right in their whelping box – you will soon see what we accomplish here at HGT and how our pups impress at such an early age.
Start thinking about interviewing veterinarians and what to feed your lab – we only recommend Life’s Abundance which I will discuss more with each of you soon.
Watch our blogs and videos. To see weekly updates on the pups, go to Labrador/Litters! Cheers, Pam
