LOVE Works but so does OBEDIENCE + AGILITY Training!

You need to give your HGT puppy something to do – and to do often. A pat on the head, a bowl of fresh water, a loving word are all great and the puppy needs all of this but they also need some simple command training. Your HGT pup already knows the commands for sit and say hi – you just need to reinforce these simple commands by asking the puppy to perform each command often. See the videos below of RiverLea – she is a bright puppy- always wanting to be in the game – alone or with the older dogs :@)
Once your puppy has had all of its core vaccinations or when it is 16 weeks, I would recommend getting the puppy actively involved in some type of obedience training. This training is good for you as well – you will meet owners of many different breeds at these training sessions.
To have HGT great, you need to reinforce what they have already learned here and I promise you, you will have everyone of your neighbors asking “how did you train this magnificent animal” – it comes with time, training, persistence, and …love!
See our videos below of the love, persistence and the training that happens here at HGT. We are just having fun with the dogs, but they are truly in the game to please us – they even stop the game for a quick wet kiss :@) The two videos are of our Kissakee Crest and our Enoch who stopped the game for a quick “hug & kiss”.
We are switching gears for 2016. 2016 is HGT’s year of the LAB – so be expecting a couple of beautiful dark chocolate English labrador litters this coming summer.
For our Golden families …”no worries” our eyes are always focused on finding the best of breed sire with healthy clearances for our golden line. We are considering a beautiful sire for Sage but we want her to have a well-deserved break and will consider another breeding during the late Summer.
Enjoy the videos – and try some of the training commands – you will be…amazed as to how smart a HGT 9-week old pup really is! Enjoy, Pam
