Oh, Those Baby – Browns~ OFA Results are In – All GREAT News!

Update: Today, 4/11/17, the results for Meooya, Ty and Eps’ OFA Eye Examinations are in – Our youngest golden grand and both of our chocolate beauties have normal eyes – free from any observable inherited eye disease. On 3/12/17, we spent half our day travelling to the Specialty Eye Clinic in Suffield, CT and the rest of the day enjoying the company of our breeder friends from CT and MA! This was a great time to not only talk with our friends about their dogs, but to see their dogs up close! Yes, to see their personalities, their temperaments and how they interact with the human kind and that of the canine kind.
HGT’s Can’t take my EYEs off of you, Aberdare was a big hit. Meooya shows her potential at every turn – she captured the look and some head turning, eye catching comments from those breeders I know as well as those I got to know! Meooya, Sage’s daughter, is 1 ½ years old and when she turns, 2 she will have all her genetic clearances & OFA’s done – if all is as good as I (see) today, she will be bred :@)
At the Eye Clinic we try and test everyone that will be bred in the coming years or those dogs that are already in our breeding program so we know that their eyes are still as good as we think they are.
Meooya, Ty-Ty and Eps were in the line-up for today. We wanted to bring a couple more of HGT’s girls, but space was limited in the truck – so we had to bring our new HGT ‘hopefuls’. Not to worry the ophthalmologist has an office not to far from us, so they will have their own appointments soon. Results should be coming in from CAER OFA in a couple of weeks – so stay tuned…Also watch our blogs – we are shaking things up here at HGT!
