IMG_2670What were you doing at 6 a.m. this morning? Well, we were wet, alone, enjoying the quiet of our morning with our DOGS! We woke up and told everyone “To the Water”… we had to say no more – everyone greeted us with Koos, those magnificent wagging retriever tails and those wet noses pressing against us!  So off we went.  We could only take a few dogs with us as the ‘quiet’ that we were enjoying would turn to complete chaos within a moment of seeing the water.

Mean, Kiss and Eps enjoyed the water with us this morning.  Everyone will get their chance before the end of summer.  Even though we train our labs and goldens at an early age that water is fun and for the most part the pups just jump right in and enjoy swimming and frolicking in the water – without any worries, we saw that Kiss did not want to swim today.  The other two dogs went from the car and iwithin a moment’s notice were soaking wet and joyfully chased their dokken trainers. Kiss, on the other hand, only wanted to walk at the water’s edge.  So I needed to get her back to that Confident Kiss that I know – I started off by going into the water alone, then with her favorite Dokken trainer as she stood at the shore watching my every move, then I started to toss the dokken trainer in the water and that was about all she could take, before taking the leap of faith and instantly joined me in the water! Enjoy the pictures of a great morning. Cheers, Pam
