Praise out LOUD for those SILENT Commands…Week_4 Training Begins :*)

Make every moment count and praise out loud – this will make all the difference in a bonding experience with your puppy!
At HomeGrown Trilogy, we start each litter with knowing who we are and what we expect from each puppy. At the 3 – 4 week mark and while they are still in the whelping box, we start with some easy non-verbal commands such as to follow our pointed finger and to establish good eye-contact, all of which are those silent commands that will stay with the pup forever. We start with the silent command because the pup has just begun to hear and see, so what is most critical is to see us and also through sight understand what is being communicated without a sound. The praise, however, is always joyful and with sound. At the 6 – 7 week mark we are on to more demonstrative commands such as ‘sit’, ‘down’ and ‘say hi’. You will be amazed as to what your HGT pup will already know when you pick it up at the 8 week mark.
The pup below has already started to join me at work – actually together we are sending out interesting blogs + poetry for all our HGT families to read – stay tuned for some interesting updates. Enjoy, Pam
