The Road Not Taken…

I absolutely love poetry – probably as much as I love my dogs! I want to share with all my KokoBo families a poem written by Robert Frost around 1920. You might have already read it. I enjoy this poem on so many levels … To me, it reminds me how precious relationships are, how ‘change’ is good, the different directions we take in life, the uniqueness of things that we hold dear and the path one takes to live and enjoy life…
The Road Not Taken…
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
At HGT, we try our best to build paths not walls in our day-to-day relationships and we always want that path to continue – even after your pup is home with you. I want to personally thank each of our KokoBo familes for a wonderful weekend – I think everyone is very happy with their choice of KokoBo puppy. Remember in two weeks, this young dog will be with you and your family –always think about the road not taken and explore with your pup all the beautiful things in life – especially off the beaten path…
