Train – Handle – Show!

At HomeGrown Trilogy, we provide obedience training, the most challenging agility trials and the most basic … yet possibly the most important … life saving Pam commands…but…what we need to venture into and break that tip of that doggo iceberg is that of entering the AKC show ring and … win-win-win.
We have enlisted the help of our experienced young handler, Miss Olivia, to help get us to that next level. Olivia has that amazing canine concentration, patience and knowledge of handlers training. She has placed many of her own labradors, other breeder’s labs through show and hopefully a couple of our HGT dogs will follow that same path and make us proud! As an impressive young girl, Olivia has successfully placed high among some more experienced handlers and their dogs and has left with some very nice show notables!
In the pictures below Olivia is working HGT’s/Candy Acres Look’n At A Legend, Laal… to my surprise and delight. Laal listens and reacts very nicely to Olivia’s instructions and after a couple runs, performed spot-on… and in my book, has already come out a winner! Olivia is a smart, affable and delightful child who truly understands the breed, knows what the AKC judges require from the handler and what it takes from the Labrador who normally just wants to have fun to switch gears once entering the show ring… and perform like no other!
In the pictures below, you will see that Olivia is stacking Laal and teaching him to watch only her. What is most important to me is that both handler and dog work in tandem… an impressive first handling session.. my hats off to you Olivia ! Love, Pam
