Beans+Berries=Beautiful :*)

With all the things that our dogs get into – we want to keep their diets simple, delicious and nutritious. This is why I am dedicating this blog to what to pack inside your HGT KokoBo or HGT Golden Grand. Did you know that dogs love string beans? Did you know that certain berries are actually really good for your puppy?
Our dogs get a handful of string beans with their kibble twice a day – every day and they look forward to me coming downstairs in the morning not only to get their grub but also to snack on some crunchy string beans. I love the koos + kisses I get from such a simple task. I also give our dogs a variety of berries. PLEASE make sure that you DO NOT give your puppy just any berry that you happen to pass by on a walk, there are only three berries that I know of that are SAFE and nutritious for your pup at this age of 16+weeks. The berries that are GOOD for your puppy or dog are: Blueberries, Strawberries and the occasional blackberry (NOTHING ELSE in the way of Berry:*) These tasty snacks are filled with vitamin C, fiber and antioxidants that offer a natural – delicious – way to keep our HGT puppies skin, coats, immune system and vision healthy. If you can find these berries in the organic section, this is a better choice if not, I would wash the berries to remove any pesticide that could be on them before serving them to your puppy :*)
Another way to keep your HGT pup happy and busy is to fill their Kongs – I normally use only Life’s Abundance kibble, low fat yogurt, string beans and a teaspoon of peanut butter. Freeze and serve – I have never ever had any complaints. You can also incorporate some of the blueberries in or some cored apple pieces just to change out the recipe somewhat.
