20 Years – Let’s Celebrate HGT!

2017 will mark a beautiful milestone here at HGT – we will be 20 years old! We had very humble beginnings in 1997, being a hobby breeder we had a small yard, a small house and even a smaller breed! We have come a long way since our start of studying the genetics necessary for each breed – and producing sound, loving and jolly-happy puppies! The Yorkshire Terrier, which was our chosen breed then, is quite different from our sporting breeds that now hold our concentration. We now are known for our Dark Chocolate Labradors and our Amazing Golden Grands locally and abroad! This was our goal then and it continues even stronger now…
Our HGT golden grands have brought us into a very new light – they have helped create our company name and image. We are so very thankful to those breeder friends of ours who wanted to mentor us and had faith in us to produce the best golden line that we can.
We are also very grateful to those labrador breeder friends who knew we could manage the two sporting breeds and helped us succeed in breeding the very best dark chocolate labrador. It was the HGT labrador that caught the eye of the AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. From that designation we were not only given the breeder distinction of Bred with HEART for our labradors but also for our golden retrievers!
Looking forward to another 20 years loving-showing-breeding these two amazing breeds!
